Invitation picture day!

Today, we went and had Savannah's pictures taken for her first birthday party invitations down at the falls. They went great and DeEdra couldn't have been nicer! Thanks for all you have done for us!

Cowboy Church

Few pictures of our little cowgirl on our way to Cowboy Church this morning. Thanks Aunt Jen Jen for the new pink boots! This was an exciting morning at church for Savannah because her bff Maycie was meeting her at the nursery this morning!

One step, Two steps, THREE steps!

Quick update on this week. Everyday, Savannah gets a little more confident. She has managed to stand in place for atleast a minute. She works up the nerve to walk, and has worked her way up to three steps this week. Within a couple of weeks, I bet she will be walking on her own every where! So proud of her! As soon as I can catch it on my camera, I will post some videos or pictures.

Confessions of a first time mom...

So, I know that I have blogged about this millions of times! I have not had much success at night time routines! I have it down during the day time, but when the lights go out...that's another story....until this past week! Let me start from the beginning. On Monday night, it took Savannah FOREVER to get to sleep. I usually describe it as "me and Jerm have to MOVE HEAVEN AND EARTH TO GET THE GIRL TO SLEEP". Don't get me wrong, once she gets asleep, she is OUT! But getting her to sleep is another story. I don't blame her too much, because she got it from me. I am just like her! On Tuesday, I went to work....with NO sleep! I had to have tons of caffeine and doughnuts to keep me awake. Later on that afternoon, we decided to go to United to get some groceries. I truly think that it was a God thing that we decided to go to the grocery store randomly that afternoon when both Jerm and I were exhausted. Why was it a God thing you ask? We were walking through the produce aisle when we ran right into the answer to our prayer! Someone that would give us the advice to help us out. None other than the best pediatrician on the planet....Dr. Sultemeir! He saw us and asked if her roseola had cleared up and was she doing ok? I then proceeded to do what I am SURE doctors hate! I cornered him in the grocery store, on his off-time, and asked him a question about my child. I told him that I would call him in the morning, because I had a question for him. He said, well what is it, you don't have to wait until the morning. Awww....thanks! Anyways, I went on to show him how sleepy my eyes were. Then I proceeded to lay out the whole situation. Told him that my child does not want to go to sleep and her mom and dad are SLEEPY! Jeremy, at this point, was laughing at me and my dramatic story in United. Dr. Sultemeir went on to say..."Crystal, are you still rocking her to sleep"? Ughh...the dreaded question. I should have known that I was setting myself up for that one! With my head down in a beaten puppy dog look, I replied "Yes sir". He then went on to tell me that Savannah is not staying asleep because I am forcing her to go to sleep in my arms, then laying her down is waking her up. He then went on to tell me to feed her, then lay her down while she is still awake. I have already heard this a million times before, I have just never tried it. Considering we were so sleepy, we decided to try it on Tuesday night. Long story short, life has been AWESOME after we decided to follow doctor's orders! I must admit, I still rock her while I am feeding her at night, then I lay her down while she is still awake. She sits there for a few minutes, plays with her toys, and then lays down and falls asleep in a matter of 5 minutes. I CANT believe it! If I would have just listened to him 10 months ago! All along Savannah knew how to do night time, it was her MOM that didn't follow instructions! Thanks dr. Sultemeir for meeting up with us in the grocery store and changing our lives! haha!

Balls...

Savannah received an early birthday present from Granna and Poppy. They saw an earlier blog about how Savannah loved playing in the balls at Owen's house, so they went and got her some for her house! Thanks for the gift! We are still trying to decide who loves them more...Savannah....or her dad? You decide?
Get out Dad! They're my balls!

TOUCHDOWN!

Leave Savannah with her dad for a few minutes and she has learned a new trick. Not anything productive like "Say mama" or "Say dada", but something very...manly. With all of the pre-season football festivities going on, Jeremy has officially taught Savannah what to do when he screams "TOUCHDOWN"! She smiles real big and throws both arms up in the air. So cute!

Friends at first sight.

Our first meet and greet between Savannah and Katelyn was a success...with a few exceptions! Rule #1 I get in serious trouble if I am caught holding Katelyn. Savannah was so cute around Katelyn. She kept looking at her and smiling until I went to hold her and then the smiling quickly turned into crying! I can't wait until they are playing together!

There's a new kid in town...

Katelyn Grace Camp is here! Jodi Camp had her baby around 3:00 today. She weighed 7 lbs 15 ounces, 21 1/2 inches long. Healthy and beautiful! Jodi and Brian + one! Katelyn Grace Savannah couldn't beellliiieeeve it when they told her that her friend was born! Owen and Savannah waiting patiently to meet Katelyn! Cheerios break!

BOO HOO!

Savannah went to her first day at an at home day care! That's right, Savannah is 10 and 1/2 months old and she hasn't ever had to go to daycare. Why, you ask, did you have to take her to daycare all of a sudden? Well, usually, Aunt Jacksie keeps her on Mondays, her Mamma keeps her on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and her Aunt Jen Jen keeps her on Thursdays. This week was a little different because my parents are on their anniversary vacation. This would normally be my mom's day to keep her, but she is in Colorado.
Well, today was the day! I got up and left the house at 7:00 to go see Jodi at the hospital because she is currently (as I am typing, she is dilated to a 6) in labor! I got to work around 9:00 and got a call from Jeremy, who dropped her off at daycare, that everything went great! He did make the statement "Not it on ever having to drop her off at daycare again!" I asked him why and all he could say was, "I don't want to ever drop her off anywhere again, I would rather just stay home and play with her!" haha. He said that when he got there, there was a boy dressed in a batman costume and Savannah could not stop staring at him! He also informed me that she didn't cry any and she just started playing!
Around 12:30, I went to pick her up and let's just say I was in shock! My little girl has a lot of hair, so when she wakes up in the morning, it is VERY wild! Not only was her hair CRAZY without a bow in it, but she still had on her PAJAMAS from the night before!!! (Picture above) Oh Savannah, your crazy dad didn't even change you out of your pj's to go hang out with NEW friends! hahaha. When I picked her up, she was soooo excited to see me and the first thing out of Lori's (Daycare girl) mouth was "This little girl gave me baby fever!" How funny! Savannah looked like she had so much fun! There were 3 other little kids there for her to play with. See, Crystal, that wasn't that bad now was it???

Happy Anniversary to the Parentals!

My parents are currently in Denver & Keystone Colorado celebrating their 30th anniversary. Jeremy, Savannah, and I decided to send them a little anniversary gift this morning. We surprised them and had breakfast room service delievered to their room. They had done this for us year before last when we stayed in Dallas. Here is a thank you text/picture that Dad sent me.

Friday Funday!

Today, Friday fun day started out with me getting up early and attempting to get ready for work. Wait, I thought, why am I going to get ready for work so I can catch up on some things I need to get done when it is FRIDAY FUN DAY!
Savannah and I immediately put up the supplies to help me get ready for work and called LeAnn and Owen to see what they were planning on doing today for Friday Fun day! We invited them to go to Southern Maid with us for Doughnuts. Within minutes, they were pulling up in our driveway and we caravaned over to the do do shop!
An early morning pic while we were waiting on LeAnn and Owen to arrive!
Dada giving SUGARS before he left for work!
Savannah LOVES her some dough dough's!
Owens very FIRST doughnut! Let's just say...it was a hit!
At this point, we went home and let the sleeping beauties take a morning nap. Savannah woke up around 11:15 and we went over to the Duran's house to play with Owen's toys. It is so funny to watch children play with other kid's toys. They are so excited because they are new toys that they have never seen before!
A new form of rock band.
We then, loaded up the kids to go eat at Scott's. A million cheerios, sandwiches, and cheesy things on the floor later, we were refilling our drinks at the front right before we left, when the owner, Peggy Scott, did the nicest thing for us! She loved Savannah and Owen so much that she gave both of them their very own bowls of ice cream! They were sooooo excited! After a fun-filled meal and ice cream snack trip, we headed to the mall to ride the rides. As you can see, they LOVED the rides at the mall!
Had a hard time getting her off of the tractor.
Owen...it's my turn to drive!
What a fun day! Thanks for hanging out with us Owen and LeAnn. We are about to get ready for the Ranch Roundup. That will be a whole new blog...stay tuned!

Budweiser Clydesdales..

are B-I-G! Yesterday, LeAnn, Jenny, and I took Savannah and Owen to the MPEC to see the Budweiser Clydesdale's that have come to town for the Ranch Roundup. Savannah is used to being around horses, so it didn't freak her out to see how big they were. She was much more interested in sitting on the ground and playing with the dirt. Owen, on the other hand, was amazed that a "dog" was that big!!! After he got over the excitement of the Clydesdale's, he spotted a truck and tractor that he wanted to play with.
We seriously came up to this horses armpit!
Shoutout to Savannah's new cousin Luke!
Owen is taking Savannah for a spin!
