Drake / Barnhill Wedding!

Let me just preface this blog entry by saying that for the past couple of weeks, my life has been...kinda...boring? For 8 months, Judy and I poured our heart and souls into this weddding and now that it is over...I feel weird blogging again, I feel weird catching up on my dvr'ed shows, I feel weird doing anything other than thinking about the wedding! Now, that I have finally uploaded all of the pictures of the wedding, I would just like to say that my pictures do not do the bride, the decorations, the reception, and the wedding justice! The wedding was ABSOLUTELY beautiful! I don't want to speak for Judy, but everything turned out even better than we all had hoped for! I am so happy to have been a part of such a wonderful event in the Drake's lives! This is how it all began! The wedding revolved around moss! Over 100 moss balls (made by me, Judy, Mom and Jenny) later and we have a very vital part of this wedding! Some of the finished product! Man...the inlaws really deserve the "Best Inlaws of the Century" Award...for sure! They loaned out their store most nights so that Judy and I could arrange our floral pieces, they loaned out their floral room for storage and preparation, they loaned out the Johnson's truck for hauling back and forth, and they loaned out most of their floral equipment! Many thanks to Bob and Gayle Johnson and Johnson's Furniture for putting up with us for months! The finished product (pew decorations and reception centerpieces) made by Judy and I ready to be moved to the Country Club and the Church! Next, I would like to give a SUPER shout out to my WONDERFUL husband! Can we say BEST HUSBAND ever! He made many a trip to the country club driving 2 miles an hour to move our decorations. He crawled up on ladders to finish cherry blossoms on the chandeliers, and he was at my beckoning call the whole weekend! Thank you Jeremy! Our first arrangement! We were sooo proud!! Here are a couple of the details from the wedding that made the day extra special for Katy! Judy put together a cd full of Texas songs that was passed out at the rehearsal dinner to all of the out-of-town guests.
The Thursday night before the wedding was spent making the church look fabulous!
An upclose picture of our pew decorations. As Joni Schmitt would say, "some of your decorations might have walked away after the wedding." Needless to say, the guests LOVED the decorations so much, that a few of them took them home with them!
Derek and Katy - rehearsal dinner pic!
Love this pic!
I especially love this pic! Look how happy the MOB and the FOB are!!
At this point, they are probably scolding Judy for something?
Water bottles for the out-of-town guests!
The next couple of pictures are taken of the bridal luncheon.
Bridal luncheon invitations.
Now onto the nitty gritty. Thanks so much for my little sis coming up there on Friday night to help decorate! Look at that Jones Soda system she has going!!
Judy and Jenny made a great team up there in the chandeliers! Judy conquered her fear of heights!
A picture of the table decorations looking down from the chandeliers.
Now, this is "wow factor" as John Johnston would say!!
Foyer of the church.
Chandeliers full of cherry blossoms and Crystals.
Jones Sodas of every flavor ordered for the reception!
Soccer ball favors...that were a HIT, I might add!
Another shot of the beautiful foyer table.
Entry way to the country club.
About to walk down the aisle!
Kelli and Atlee!
Two beautiful flower girls! I wish I had a family member that was about to get married! I would LOVE for Savannah to be a flower girl!
These two decorations that we made....were....missing when the reception was over! Wow, what a compliment! Guests loved our arrangements so much, that they took them as favors on their way out!
The wonderful photo booth! This was a MUST HAVE for the wedding!
Groom's cake was DELISH!
Bride's cake and cupcakes!
The coffee barista!
Another shot of the finished product! LOVE IT!
Let the party begin!
These 3 girls LOVED the DJ and danced the night away!
Everytime we get Atlee and Savannah together they have so much fun together! We must get them together more often!!!
