Thanksgiving Preparations!

Ok, have I totally won the award on best dessert or what? My pilgrim hat chocolate covered marshmallows are going to steal the show!
To top things off, I had the best helper ever!! Go ahead and add cooking to the list of her favorite things to do!
These were SUPPOSED to be my famous turkey cupcakes, but I got carried away looking at the new US WEEKLY, and they...dun dun dun....burnt! SORRY! Back to my AWESOME pilgrim hat chocolate covered marshmallows!!!

Christmas

I am a Christmas FANATIC....
Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers Christmas CD, Mariah Carey Christmas CD, Christmas lights, Christmas trees, presents, Candy Canes, the spirit of giving...what could be better? I LOVE IT!
So, since I have my own house now, (ok, we have had my our own house for 6 years now) I decided to make my own rules about when I wanted to decorate the house for Christmas. I love celebrating my birthday for a couple of months and I am sure Jesus would as well! So, I am positive he didn't mind us starting the birthday celebration early this year! Happy Birthday Jesus!
This was my favorite year by far! She has been with us going on 3 holidays now and this one has been the funnest! Savannah, you are a girl after my own heart! You LOVE Christmas music and you LOVE decorating!
This is our new friend "baby elf". Every morning, Baby Elf is hiding in a different location in the living room. He is keeping watch over you and reporting back to Santa Claus every night letting him know if you have been a good little girl! Baby Elf, you rock! You have made so many things easier in my life since you joined us!

Paducah, Texas

Not many people have ever heard of the place, but for me and my sisters, Paducah, Texas has always been a place where we have went to go see our grandparents, cousins, and the wonderful outdoors. I realize that in the previous posts, I stated the fact that I am the most non-outdoorsy person on the planet, but when it comes to Paducah, you are allowed to participate in fun outdoorsy stuff that isn't allowed at home! We haven't been to Paducah in so long and with nothing going on this weekend, Savannah, the sisters, and I decided to load up and make a day trip out of it! What a great idea! We had a blast! Pappa and Savannah swinging. Grandy and Savannah spent a couple of hours getting up on the chair and jumping "high"!
Hunters...look close. There are do do deers everywhere! Complete inside joke. Apparently, if you see a field full of deer, you are supposed to have a complete meltdown. I am the black sheep of the family when it comes to the deer obsession!
I decided to have a little fun with my camera! Took some MANUAL pictures with my camera! I am so proud of how they turned out!
If you manually take a picture, you really capture the full effect on the actual colors of nature! These are my dad's cows and donkey on my grandparent's land.
This donkey wanted to be friends with Savannah!
Last but certainly not least, apparently Jenny felt like she wasn't getting enough attention. We were all sitting outside with Mamma talking while Savannah was playing in the dirt and out of NOWHERE Jenny starts screaming at the top of her lungs! Long story short, she had a wasp in her pants that was sting the fire out of her legs! After dancing around, we finally convinced her to strip down naked and take those pants off! The wasp fell on the ground and I smashed him dead! Here is a picture of the damage he did on one section of her leg! Little Aloe Vera fixed everything!

Movie Star

This past Saturday, we allowed Johnson's Furniture to use Savannah in one of their commercials. Not really, but that sounded good! I see a bright future in the hometown commercial business! Getting the camera set and showing Savannah where she needs to stand/sit/talk. Pep talk before the commercial. Explaining to her that she will get two pieces of bubblegum if she says "that's right" during the commercial. By the way, isn't this chair super cute? If you can't live without it, go into Johnson's Furniture and ask for Jeremy!
Standing next to Poppy while he rehearses his lines.
After our job was done, she spent some time with dada helping him "work".

Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders

Guess who was first in line for the opportunity to have your picture made with the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders? You guessed it!
These girls were SO nice! They wanted to recruit Savannah to the team. She is way too busy for that!
The "tiger" scared her to DEATH!

Dirt

This girl is COMPLETE and TOTAL OPPOSITE of her momma when it comes to the outdoors. I really don't care to be outdoors unless I am in a pool, laying out by a pool, at the beach, or hanging out on the patio at some restaurant. Other than that, I'm good. She, on the other hand, would appreciate it if I would just move her crib out there, put her portable potty out there, and maybe have a stash of Capri suns out there with her. She would be fine taking permanent residence outside! So, the fact that it was nice outside on Sunday and she was allowed to get as dirty as she wanted, she was in Heaven!

The future of America!

Today I had to get a package ready to mail to Miss Liv Barrett, so we went up to my office for a little bit today. Let's just say, I think that I have someone following in my footsteps! Hopefully, when I retire, Savannah can take over my job in the oil biz.

The next Paula Deen.

We made brownies together tonight. Memory I will never forget! :)

SaturDAY and SunDAY of FUN!

This weekend was a jam packed weekend, for sure! But...that's how us Johnsons like it! :) We started off Saturday morning at Cookies with Santa down at Christmas Magic!
Let's just say that one of us is a HUGE fan of Santa Claus and the other one isn't. I'll let you decide!
The group! Jody and Maycie, we had a great morning with you guys!
After visiting with Santa, we made these super cute pictures with paint and salt! Great job on the idea, ladies!
Walking to each Christmas station together. Their friendship makes my heart so happy!
They were singing Christmas Carols with the elves and reindeer. They weren't too sure about this, as you can tell!
Savannah always lucks out when Jen Jen joins us on the shopping trips! Face painting please!
Next, we moved on into the market area and met up with some more friends! Ashley, Ezra, and Jackie joined us! These two, however, were in their own little "shopping world". The Fedora hat and the knitted headband took them to a whole new shopping level!
Later on that night, Jeremy and I went on a dinner date while Savannah and Jenny went to the rodeo. You can't go anywhere with Savannah without dressing like her....it's just an added bonus!
After Olive Garden, we were supposed to head to the movies but...Jeremy and I were missing our baby! We decided to head home, everyone get in our pajamas, and watch The Lion King! What a great time we had as a family. I wouldn't trade moments like that for anything in the world! Sunday night, we went to the Maskat Shrine Circus and off to Fuzzy's Tacos with the fam! We had a blast! Nothing like spending time with the ones you love!

Ivey's 3rd Birthday!

Ivey Schmidt turned THREE!
The birthday boy about to tear into his cake. Isn't he cute!?
These two have known each other their whole lives, but have truly formed a real friendship this past week! Love these two!
Love these two as well!
Savannah helping Maycie turn her head towards the camera so that we can take a picture! hahaha!

Christmas Magic Style Show

My head is still spinning...literally! I just planned, along with the wonderful store owners, the 2010 Christmas Magic Style Show. Wow! Was that a trip! This year, we had over 350 people attend our show! Best ever! Thanks to everyone that came and helped make this year's show a HUGE success! Here is a shot of the runway and the room!
These two definitely stole the show...in my opinion! :) How cute are they!!! HenAry (as Savannah would say) and Vannah (as Henry would say), were absolutely precious playing their guitar and singing twinkle, twinkle little star, while holding hands and blowing kisses down the runway!

Halloween 2010 Extravaganza!

I seriously can't get over how many events your two year old is required to wear her costume to! Loved every minute of it though!
This is a picture of the Halloween pumpkins filled with goldfish that I sent for the kids in Savannah's class on Thursday.
On Friday morning, I had to go find mine and Jeremy's costume and Savannah thought she needed to wear this all over town while we were shopping. Fine with me!
My sweet little Minnie Mouse with her little Minnie Mouse.
This particular Thursday afternoon, we dressed up to go to Johnson's Furniture to show off our cool new tights!
Sunday morning, heading to church! Making good use of these awesome tights that I might try to wear sometime.
Now, the party begins! This is mine and Jeremy's costume this year. We are salt and pepper shakers! Making a stop at Granna and Poppy and Bud and Carol's house to trick or treat!
The Johnson family also known as Salt Shaker, Minnie Mouse, and Pepper Shaker!
Mamma and Pa threw a ghoulish Halloween festival at their house this year! GREAT time had by all! Mr and Mrs Scarecrow with Minnie Mouse.
The whole crew! From the left: Mr and Mrs Scarecrow, Minnie Mouse, Pepper Shaker, Salt Shaker, A Lier Seigler worker (sp?), and a Redneck Koozie!
Mamma even drove in for the festivities! Mr. Scarecrow (Pa) planned a Halloween Hayride for us!
Savannah drove us around on our hayride!
The 2nd or 3rd place winner in the costume contest. Not sure which one. All that matters is Mr. and Mrs. Salt and Pepper Shaker won!
