Rainy Day Fun

Here in Texas, if it rains, we get real excited!
As soon as she saw raindrops, she threw on the boots and hurried outside!
LOVED splashing in the water!

Cousin Luke Slumber Party

Cousin Luke came to stay the night with us while Jason and Lauren went to a wedding shower! We ate pizza, played outside for a long time, watched cartoons, read books, and went to bed! We had a great time!

Poppy's favorite granddaughter!

Buzzlebee

How lucky are these two girls? Their Pa and Mammaw got them a horse that they can ride. Savannah got the opportunity to name the horse and she chose Buzzlebee. No clue what that means?
She is so brave when riding a horse!

Grandparent's Day 2012 - WCS

Wichita Christian has a day called Grandparent's Day to allow the kids the opportunity to show their grandparents where they go to school, where their classroom is, and to meet their teacher. I loved this idea!
What a lucky girl to have ALL of her grandparents there for Grandparent's Day?!
She couldn't wait to show her grandparents her very first locker!
Group picture right at her desk!
Savannah and Daley are showing their grandparents how hard they work!
We couldn't be more proud of her!

First Sleep Over!

Savannah has been asking over and over again if she can have a friend stay then night. So, we asked Kate and I was worried that she might want to go home in the middle of the night. Please! These girls played hard and slept soundly! Great first sleepover!

Dallas Weekend Get Away

I rewind back a couple of months to July and think about what all happened that turned our little world upside down. Now, fast forward to today...I'm doing OK...actually I am doing better than I thought I would be doing! My thoughts are a little clearer but I still don't understand. I have so many questions that I know may never be answered. I truly believe in my heart, or I am at least hoping, that there will be a "Disney" happy ending to our fertility story. For some reason, I find myself wanting to talk about my baby all the time but feel like there are few people that feel comfortable enough to hear me ramble on and on about a baby they never knew. Savannah talks about her "baby brother" 24/7! Literally! Just ask Jodi Camp. She knows that first hand. I definitely don't encourage her to do that but on the other hand, it is kinda nice that this little girl loves that baby just as much as I do. Prayers for us are still being accepted...

During all of the drama in July, my co-workers/bosses were part of the team of people that helped me keep it together....literally! These wonderful angels in my life, also known as my co-workers, held a silent email benefit for Jeremy, Savannah, and I. I had NO idea that this was going on! Basically, an email was sent out to all of the people in my "career world" and enough money was raised to pay for our babies headstone, funeral costs, 2 nights at the Gaylord Texan, 3 tickets to Medieval Times in Dallas, a build a bear for Savannah, dinner at Rainforest Cafe, lunch at Chick Fil A, Meet and Greet with the Disney Characters, cookies with Fiona, and spending money for Jeremy, Savannah, and I! Words can't even begin to express how much I appreciate this act of kindness from all of them! I will say, a weekend away from "reality" was just what all 3 of us needed!
We left out out of town on a Friday. Goodbye Wichita Falls, hello Dallas!
After we checked in, unpacked our suitcases, and jumped on the beds...
Our first adventure of the weekend was a Disney Dreamworks Meet and Greet.
Puss N Boots.
Madagascar 3
SHREK!
Kung Fu Panda
I would definitely recommend that experience to everyone!
One of the cool things about the Gaylord Texan is, you get to go to the water park for free! We definitely took advantage of that!
Later on that night, we took part in the resort Disney Dreamworks parade! Every Friday in the Summer at the Gaylord Texan, the hotel puts on a Disney parade that involves all of the characters, a bunch of drums and singing. The parade leads out of the hotel to the top of the parking garage overlooking Lake Grapevine. There was a DJ, over a thousand people, tons of dancing, and fireworks.
Jeremy and Savannah dancing their little hearts out!
I see a bright dancing future for Nanna and I! When Soulja Boy, Ice Ice Baby, and the Cha Cha came on, the girl has some moves!!
She made a new friend that could dance with her way better than Jeremy and I!
The next day, we woke up bright and early and made our way to the mall to the build a bear store! That was so worth every penny!! First, you push on the lever and help stuff your new friend.
Then you hug and love on your new friend!
Then you grab a heart and kiss it and make a wish and put the heart in your new friend!
You make your way over to the computers, name your friend, and create a birth certificate.
We present to you our newest family member, Lilly Ann Johnson
After that, we made our way back to the Gaylord for our scheduled Cookies with Fiona!
I wasn't sure how this was going to turn out but she absolutely loved decorating cookies with Princess Fiona walking around!
One happy girl equals two happy parents!
Princess Fiona taking a pic with Princess Savannah
Receiving her certificate of achievement from Fiona's head chef!
Her team
Getting Lilly and herself dressed and ready for Medieval Times!
The Johnson Family voting for the Yellow Knight!
She couldn't believe that they don't have any silverware and she can actually eat with her hands!
So happy!
Jeremy ate 3 whole bowls of Tomato Basil soup plus all the rest of his food!
The Yellow Knight threw Savannah a flower and she caught it!
This weekend didn't make the pain any less but it did remind us that we are still beyond blessed to have each other here on earth and a little piece of our heart in Heaven.
