Johnson Date Night

Last Saturday night, after Jeremy got off work, Jeremy picked us up and took Savannah and I out for date night! We started off at the duck pond. Man, oh man, did Savannah enjoy feeding the ducks! Thank goodness the ducks stayed in the pond.
She was soooo excited when she threw the bread in the water and the ducks attacked it!
Excitement took her over and she clapped and clapped!
Then, she high fived! What an achievement!
Next, we made our way over to Fuzzy's Tacos. We followed up Fuzzy's Tacos with a trip to the Yogurt Journey!
Love how you can write on the wall!
Can you believe that the Johnson Family ordered 3 of these big bowls of yogurt? Finally, we ended up at Gnomio and Juliet. Great movie! After 3 bowls of yogurt, can you believe that Jeremy and Savannah ate this big bag of popcorn? All in all, we had a GREAT time! Thank you for inviting us on a date, Jeremy!

Forward Roll

Out of nowhere yesterday, Savannah busted out her first forward roll ALL BY HERSELF!

Let me clear my throat...

There is a reason behind this particular video. First of all, Savannah knows Twinkle, Twinkle little Star front and back. Well, here lately, she has gotten so wrapped up in the fact that she should cover her mouth and clear her throat during the middle of each song that she sings, that she forgot the words! This video makes me laugh!

Lovely Locks Update 2

After tonight's bath, we decided not to blow dry her hair because it is so hot and this is how it turned out. No, we do NOT curl her hair with a curling iron or ANYTHING else for that matter! How cute are those precious curls?

Pure Happiness!

Valentine's Day 2011

I used to think that Valentines was just a "dating holiday" and a day that Hallmark can make a ton of money...until this year! I'm usually not the "cheesy" type, but I am going to have to go extra sappy on this blog! Can I just start off by saying that Valentine's Day 2011 will go down as one of the best nights of my life! Jeremy always treats me wonderfully on holidays, but this holiday was extra special! To start the day off, Jeremy went and bought me a dozen roses from him and Savannah from my best friend's flower shop, The Basketcase! First of all, I loved the flowers, but more importantly, I am so happy (without any coaching, I might add) that he supported one of my friend's businesses because he knew that would make me happy! The flowers were delivered to my work. Crazy that flowers that will end up dying in a couple of days could make me so happy! When Jeremy got home from work, he handed me a very thick Valentine's Card! In the card was enough $1.00 bills to buy my plane ticket to Los Angeles for my 30th birthday next year! I almost fell off the couch! I can't believe that he had planned something like that for me, much less saved enough money to buy my ticket! Then, we continued our night at The Pelican, which was the best meal I have had in a while! Thanks to the best inlaws ever for giving us money to go eat and to the movies! To finish things off, we went to see the new Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler movie. A DEFINITE must see! Then, once I got home and nap time was over, I informed Savannah that she had a date tonight with Aunt Jen Jen. She automatically went into overdrive, happy mode! She started saying that her and Aunt Jen Jen were "going somewhere SPECIAL tonight. We're going to Dallas". Where she got that, I have no idea! She then went to the bathroom and started putting on her makeup. I walked in and this is what I found....(picture above). Jen took her to the mall, then to see Yogi Bear, and then something to eat!
When we got home from the movies, I walked in and Savannah and I had roses from my dad and she had a heart shaped tub full of chocolates and a balloon attached! To top things off, my dad fixed some trim that needed fixing. Yes, I do have the BEST DAD EVER! Then, I look over and see a cake holder Tupperware from Mom with a card and money inside! Yes, I do have the BEST MOM EVER!
To everyone involved, thank you so much for all the kind LOVE gestures today! Much appreciated!

Birthdays Galore!

Usually in the mornings, we have to give Savannah at least 30-45 minutes to lay in her bed and collect her thoughts before she wants to get out of the bed. Not Saturday morning! As soon as I told her we were going to TWO birthdays, she shot out of bed and was ready to figure out what "princess" outfit she would wear to the parties!
Our first party was Jack Aboussie's Second birthday party! The kids got to decorate Valentine's cookies! We had a BLAST! Thank you guys so much for inviting us!
Kendra graciously helping Savannah put icing on her cookies while her momma takes a million pictures.
She is so into the idea of decorating her own cookies! She thought this birthday party was..."so cool"!
The finished product!
Immediately after Jack's party, we made a quick pit stop at the house to pick up Jenny and headed to McKinney, Texas for Miss Jaelyn's FIRST birthday! Cute little town we passed through to get to the party! Can I just give a TWO THUMBS UP to the person that named this cute little town!
Paige and I are always so excited to get the girls together, that we always forget to take a picture of them together! Not this time!
Paige had a pinata for the kids! Savannah couldn't believe tons of candy was coming out of the thing!
We had a blast getting out of town and coming to the party! Thanks for the invite!!!
After the parties, the Stonebriar Mall, the Grapevine Mills Mall, and Babes Chicken House lured us in. On the way home, this little girl had had too much! Hair down, lipstick/coolaid on the lips, and this hot mess was coming down off her sugar high! Jenny, Savannah, I had a MUCH needed wonderful day with you two!!!

Wildcats Hockey

This past Friday night, we were invited to use the Times Record News box at the hockey game! Savannah had a BLAST! As you can tell, they must have known she was coming because they had the two largest tubs of popcorn I have ever seen! She was in Heaven! I was nervous about how Savannah was going to be around Craz E Cat, but boy was I wrong! Her and Craz E Cat hit LOVED each other! Thanks for the invite TRN, we had a blast!
After having some fun watching hockey, we made our way over to the World of Wheels. Bob and Gayle had a couple of cars in the show!
Poppy's first car.
Poppy's second car.
Quick pic with Dada. We are really into stuffed talking animals lately! So glad they don't terrify her anymore!
Scooby Doo! I couldn't believe that she went and stood by this ginormous dog all by herself!

Superbowl Sunday 2011

I really hate it that these are the only pictures I took of our annual Superbowl Sunday party! We were entirely too busy teaching Mom and Dad how to use their new phones, watching our squares game boards to see if any of us won, and most importantly, playing the Left, Right, Center game! Jackie and Chris ended up winning all of the LRC cash!
Congratulations to Dad and Jeff Merklin, Courtney Copeland, Guy Brown, and Jenny Wright for winning the squares game!

Bedtime Prayer

Tonights bedtime prayer went a little something like this... God bwess Momma. God bwess Dadda. God bwess my farm. God bwess Don Dons (Mcdonalds). God bwess biscuits. God bwess sausage. God bwess brownies. God bwess 2 eggs. God bwess cup of water. I was trying to jot everything down in my memory bank but this is all I could remember! I just know this prayer warmed the big man upstairs heart! Talk about being specific with your prayers! - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

HAPPY 20th BIRTHDAY JENNY!

This past Friday was JENNY's birthday! Savannah and I spent a week planning out the perfect party plans for her! She always does soooo much for us, we wanted to return the favor and make her 20th birthday the best day ever!
I woke up one morning at 4:00 in the morning and could NOT get the invitation preparations off of my mind! So, at 4:00, I busted out this invitation. Pretty good if I must say so myself! If you didn't get an invite, don't get your feelings hurt. Due to weather, most of the guest list did not even receive their invite!
The day of the party, this little girl and I were VERY busy in the kitchen! Staying with the Queen theme that we had going (and Jen's new red streaked hair), Savannah and I baked a red velvet cake for her birthday!
While we were at it, we decided to cook Jeremy his favorite meal! He has been working so hard lately and selling more than you can imagine, so we decided to reward him with Taco Soup! He was very happy to say the least! The party has officially began! Olive Garden...Jen's favorite!
We got her some new sassy leopard and peace sign scrubs!
Mom and Dad got Jen tons of cool stuff and some moola!
Last but not least, we thought it would be fun to end the night/party at the Skate Plex! How much fun! If you haven't been, I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a good time!
Jerm and Nanna weren't about to get out there and skate until....
She saw how much fun her momma was having!
Then it was go time! Her legs reverted back to infant mode! They were like spaghetti! It was hilarious!
Great time had by all! Look at those crazy legs! Then, tons of people were skating past us and it started to freak her out, so she was finished! Jenny, we had a blast at your birthday party! I am personally, so honored to have been able to share 20 birthdays with you! Can't wait for many more! LOVE YOU!
