A couple of weekends ago, we were blessed with the opportunity to have a weekend trip to Dallas! The weekend was actually our Anniversary. Normally, a couple would try to get away without the kids, but for us, we have been married for six years and couldn't imagine leaving for a whole weekend without her!
We started out the weekend at the American Girl Doll Store! I don't know about Savannah, but this was one of the coolest things that I have done so far as a Mom! Jeremy and I taking our little girl and her American Girl Doll to get her hair done will forever be stored in my memory bank as one of the funnest couple of hours of my life! Watching my little girl watch her little girl get her hair fixed was so much fun!
She picked out braided pig tails and blue and pink ribbon.
Jeremy and Nanna walking from the American Girl Store back to our hotel room.
Later on that afternoon, we headed on over to Six Flags! I was pretty skeptical about going to Six Flags with a two year old. I wasn't sure there would be much for her to do. Boy was I wrong!
Waiting in line! We kicked off the day with the Roger Rabbit Ferris Wheel!
She never slowed down! Kiddie land was GREAT for her!
I was for sure she would be scared to death. Oh no! She was looking down at me waving and having the best time!
We got to the next ride and I was thinking, "Oh this will be great. A little airplane ride. This isn't too scary...for me?"
Until the plane took off and they went flying up in the air going up and down, up and down! I was freaking out! She was laughing and LOVING it! I couldn't believe it! Thank goodness for this sweet little girl in front of her that became friends with her!
Johnson Creek School.
Wish this school had something to do with these Johnsons!
Waiting in line for the trucks!
I LOVED this ride...I mean, she LOVED this ride! :)
The next morning, we were planning on sleeping and my "usually sleeps until 10:30" child, woke us up EARLY and said, "there is sun out there, what are we going to do?"
So, we got ready and went to Ft. Worth to the Children's Museum and the Omni Theater! She is checking out Dad's groceries!
We were learning about Oil and Gas Drilling!
Jeremy said that he was born to be an Oil Tycoon! ha!
We LOVE the activity center at the Children's Museum!
Jeremy collects comic books, so when he saw the author of one of the comic books he collects, he was stoked! He has dreams of opening up a comic book store one day so he was gathering ideas from the author and got his autograph!
While Dad was chatting with celebrities, we were checking out this Dinosaur!
We took Savannah to her first Omni Theater Movie experience! Do you remember this part? The helicopter ride over Ft. Worth! Still gets me every time!
After spending about 5 hours at the Museum/Omni, we made our way over to Grapevine to the Gaylord to get ready for our dinner date with the Rodriquez family! We were so excited that we were able to meet Paige, Roberto and Jaelyn for dinner! Let's just say that I won Jaelyn over pretty fast!
Our view from the Hotel!
Family picture in front of the Alamo!
The girls were in shock that the elephants were talking behind us!
Jaelyn's ghetto fabulous dog that her parents bought for her! hahaha!
The best we could do getting a picture of the girls together! :)
Johnson Family Summer Vacation 2011 was a BLAST!
